We will be taking down the server on 6th February at 5pm GMT, 12 noon EST, 9am PST to implement the rebase (name tbc). This constitutes over 6 months work by the team, and a huge time commitment by the devs. We estimate that the server will be down for 2 hours, whilst we implement it and make some initial checks. However, this is subject to change as this is a somewhat unique situation. We do anticipate there will be several hotfixes, and short notice restarts over the next couple of weeks, so check announcements in game, on discord etc. We would also recommend that you check and empty harvesters very regularly and log somewhere safely.
This also seems an opportune moment to thank all those pita awesome bug finders who have spent a significant amount of their play time searching out issues for the devs to work on. I mean – who even USES a playback droid!?!?
I would also add a personal plea to remember that the devs have worked around the clock on this project for a significant amount of time. As always, they have volunteered their time, and made difficult choices about their personal lives and play time to achieve this goal. Please be very mindful in the way that you express any criticism of changes or glitches in the matrix we experience over the next couple of weeks. If there are things on the ‘new’ SR live that don’t match the ‘old’ SR live experience, please do report them via mantis as soon as possible using the SR EMU New Alderaan area. Despite the extensive testing, there will be things that have been missed / not noticed and we will do our best to rectify and move them forward as speedily as possible.
