We are delighted to announce that we have just been able to upgrade all the hardware and storage for the main server thanks to your continued support and generosity. This will mean that we can:
· Separate out the game server, website, forums and test centre so that we can move and work on them individually on virtual set ups. Please note: Test Centre has already been moved to the new location.
· Allow us to have better back up storage for the game database back ups, the website, forums, test centre and confluence which is a staff knowledgebase for the team to use to trouble shoot player issues, store procedures etc for developers, admins, csrs and event staff.
· The increased speed should be something that improves your game play. In addition we will be able to hold more back ups for security.
We have overlapped the new purchase so that we are able to move each component over with care, and ensure that staff can ensure each element is working to our satisfaction.
We appreciate that it may look as though there isn’t much activity from the senior team, however much of our focus has been working on this and other back-end projects so that we have the tools to be able to support you all better when playing the game.
Our current focus has been on:
1) Working on the above upgrade so that we are able to go live as soon as possible.
2) Ensuring that Life Day content was ready for you all.
3) Getting Mandal Motors ready for final testing.
4) Addressing tickets where possible. Please note these may not be processed in order depending on staff skill set, availability and the time devs have available.
5) Facilitating pet replacements – please put in tickets if you haven’t yet done this.
6) Event planning for 2024.
All of our team volunteer their time around real life, family commitments, health etc. As such there will always be times where some staff might not be available. If you have skills in development, or feel that you could support the server in other ways we would be delighted to hear from you.
